Professional : Today went by smoothly. Had meeting with my immediate team. It was good to catch up with everyone. We spoke about the team goals for this year. A lot of cool stuff happening. Then we had the greater team meeting. Again, it was good to see everyone. Had yet another presentation to sit in on. Watched the recording of an earlier meeting that was scheduled for the folks in Asia. Slack was working today so I caught up on community questions. Responded to some posts about blog updates, Web Components and slides for an upcoming online workshop.
Personal : Last night I went through a bunch of tracks for the radio show that I picked up on Bandcamp. Did a little sketching for the prototypes that I'll be creating for this collaboration. Got a notification that a nozzle for my new printer were available (they've been out of stock since I bought the printer). So in my rush to get my wallet, my keys fell and hit the screen of my phone and cracked it. Luckily, I've been paying for insurance for accidents, so I filed a claim and they are sending me a replacement phone. I had to pay a deductible though. Hoping they send me a new phone and not a refurbished one. Fingers crossed.
Got the artwork for the vinyl collab and some of the songs (still need the instrumentals). The artwork looks really dope! Since we would need more designs since we are getting it pressed physically, I gave a couple of suggestions and they were included. Super cool. I want to make this collab something special for the folks who want it. Vinyl is forever and I want people to see it like a work of art. The artwork also inspired me to go in another direction for the keychain that I've been modeling. I think this new idea will be a lot better. Going to see if I can model it up. Now that I have the artwork, I know the colors so I'll start looking for filament at will match as close as possible. In addition to that, I'll finish up the social media posts for the projects I picked up on Bandcamp and send them out tomorrow. Looking to try and get as much done with the radio show as possible so I can spend tomorrow working on the printer enclosure after work and make space for the printer that is coming in. Some of the other stuff I ordered for it are supposed to be arriving soon as well. Kind of exciting!
