Time Freedom

  1. One aspect is genuinely saving time, allowing us to do other things.
  2. The other is having control over our time—avoiding situations where we passively wait within a fixed schedule.

For example, hiring someone to clean the house might save a lot of effort (setting aside concerns like privacy), but scheduling a cleaning service requires arranging a time, waiting for them to arrive, and dealing with possible reschedules or cancellations—factors beyond our control. Even once the cleaning starts, they might still ask for instructions on specific tasks, meaning we have to stay attentive to them. This makes it hard to fully focus on other activities.

So, outsourcing doesn’t entirely solve the problem of time freedom. Instead, I’d rather treat cleaning as a form of exercise and a way to relax and relieve stress. After all, cleaning doesn’t require much mental effort, and it keeps me physically active.

Time is truly a scarce and valuable resource.

My Three Principles for Managing Time:

  1. Don’t trade time for money.
  2. Increase the value of my time.
  3. Find ways to generate passive income.

Ultimately, I want to reserve my time for what truly matters—my family and myself.
