What are React Components?
React components are the building blocks of any React application. They are reusable pieces of code that define how a certain part of the UI should look and behave. Components can be thought of as custom HTML elements, and they come in two main types: functional components and class components.
1. Functional Components
Functional components are simple JavaScript functions that return React elements. They are often preferred for their simplicity and readability.
Example of a Functional Component:

2. Class Components
Class components are more complex. They are defined as ES6 classes that extend from React.Component
. Class components can hold their own state and utilize lifecycle methods.

Why Use Components?

Understanding Props
Props (short for properties) are a mechanism for passing data from one component to another. They are immutable, meaning a component cannot modify its own props.
Using Props

Example of Passing Props:

In this example, the App
component renders the Greeting component, passing the name prop with the value "John".
Accessing Props
Within the component, props can be accessed via the props object.

Managing State
State is a built-in object that allows components to hold and manage their own data. Unlike props, state is mutable and can change over time, often in response to user actions.
Using State in Functional Components
In functional components, you can use the useState
hook to manage state.
Example of Using useState

In this example, useState

Using State in Class Components
In class components, state is managed using the this.state object and the setState method.

State vs Props
