Window용 외부 키보드 Mac에서 사용하기 (Using a Windows Keyboard on Mac)

테스트에 적용할 키보드는 COX 엔데버 50G 무접점이며, 설정할 기능은 아래와 같습니다.

0. Features

1. left "Alt" key -> left "command"
2. left "Win" key -> left "option"
3. CapsLock Lagging (language convert)
4. Set Fn key to right "Alt"
5. Activate Fn + F1~F12 features

0. 기능

1. 왼쪽 "Alt"키 -> 맥북 "Command"키로 변경
2. 왼쪽 "Win"키 -> 맥북 왼쪽 "option"키로 변경
3. CapsLock 언어변경 렉없애기
4. Fn키가 동작하지 않으니, 오른쪽 "Alt"키를 Fn키로 변경
5. Fn + F1 ~ F12 조합으로 맥북과 같은 기능 (밝기 조절, 볼륨업/다운등 처리)

There are two main solutions: a Simple method and a more advanced Karabiner mapping method.
If you only want to solve issues 1 to 3, follow the Simple method.
If you want to solve all issues (1 to 5), follow the Hard method.

해결방법은 크게 2가지 종류로 Simple방식 그리고 Karabiner라는 매핑을 사용해서 조금더 어렵게 하는 방법이 있습니다. 만약 당신이 위의 기능들 중에서 1~3번까지 해결하고 싶다면 Simple 방식을 1~5까지 모두 해결하고 싶다면 Hard방식의 Solution을 따라하세요.

1. Simple

Open System Settings > Keyboard > Click Keyboard Shortcuts

2. Hard

Capslock 렉을 해결하기 위해서 Simple방식의 Capslock 설정만 필요합니다. (나머지 키세팅은 적용하면 안됨)

To fix the Caps Lock lag, you only need to apply the Simple method for the Caps Lock setting. (Other key settings should not be applied.)

(1) Download karabiner
(2) Open System Settings > Keyboard > Click Keyboard Shortcuts > Function Keys

(3) Karabiner에서 자신의 keyboard를 클릭하고, Add item으로 사진의 3개 item을 추가해준다. (Modifier keys 섹션에서 찾을 수 있다.)

(3) In Karabiner-Elements, click on your keyboard, then use “Add Item” to add the three items shown in the picture.
(You can find them in the “Modifier Keys” section.)

번외로 저의 경우, Karabiner가 아래와 같이 2개의 device를 보여주고 있었고 이 중에서 제대로 동작하는 것은 아래 키보드였습니다. 만약 저와 같은 현상을 겪으실 경우에 이걸 해결하는 방법은

• 위의 hard 해결 방법의 3번 방식을 한다 -> 이상하게 동작한다면 그 키보드 option은 제대로 된게 아니니 나머지 키보드를 turn on해서 확인해보면 됩니다.
• 반드시 저 처럼 둘중 1개만 turn on하셔야 합니다.

In my case, Karabiner-Elements displayed two devices, but only the second keyboard worked correctly. If you experience the same issue, follow Step 3 of the Hard method to troubleshoot.

• If one keyboard behaves incorrectly, turn it off and enable the other keyboard.
• Only one keyboard should be turned on at a time, just like in my case.
